In place of the northwest corner, the walls angle in to form a fifth side. The northeast corner is a huge tower, taking up half the eastern wall; it is clearly the most heavily-protected area. The massive structure is well-placed; closest to the river and furthest from the town where trouble would likely approach. All five corners of the structure have large towers, clearly well-manned and very functional. There is a small boat entrance from the moat along the south wall and the southwest tower is quite large.
