Woodcrafter (Anseh of Derson)

The shop has a woodcrafter’s symbol for a sign but no name. A large, stout wooden building, framed with heavy timber and filled with planking. The cuts are neat and precise, and the carpentry is better than that of most of the town. [1]

The front room is large with finished pieces around the sides and a tidy counter across the back. An open arched doorway next to the counter leads directly to the back of the shop where a man at a treadle-powered lathe carefully peeling long strips of wood shavings off a piece in progress. There are also sounds of sawing and chiseling and filing, so there are at least four people working in the back room. [1]

Behind the counter is a man that could be mistaken for Khuzan except he is about six inches too tall. Wide-shouldered and beefy, with a stout frame and a full beard under eyebrows that went where they chose. The reddish tint to his hair definitely isn’t Khuzan but his friendly smile is certainly welcome. [1]

Anseh was a journeyman carpenter when he went to visit a distant cousin in Habe then tried to find a local job when he ran out of money. Working for Clan Dargyn, he found himself barely an apprentice to their Khuzan-trained ways. But he learned. [1]
