Erone (Peonian abbey)
From "In Genin's Footsteps" by Julian Verdreth, 715 TR: [1]
From Hask to the Temple of Peoni at Erone is a good three miles. Travelers may expect the usual warm reception, but should be forewarned that this is a retreat of the all-female Order of the Balm of Joy. Overnight guests are not normally permitted within the estate boundaries, and I have personally had to remind those with little self-control that the Order is one of peace and healing and good works – not a brothel. I suspect that the Order has means to mount an adequate defense, should one be needed to defend their own. Outside the walls there is a fair village, well-tended and quite faithful to Peoni. Several hundred people live there, largely serfs – tenants to the Temple. Even if the Order itself does not take up arms in its’ defense, I am confident the villagers will. The inn at Erone has consistently served good ale and excellent bread, but rarely serves red meat. Fish from the local stream can often be found, though. The fields through here seem to benefit from Peoni’s presence and Erone rarely has a poor harvest.
From Erone to the Hundred Moot at Ulben is a bit over a league.
