Kethira-720TR-Harn-Kaldor-Tashal
Tashal (castle)
Entrance into Tashal is controlled at all gates. Non-nobles must pay 1 silver every time they enter, bows must be un-strung, and weapons above a knife must be peace-bonded.
From "In Genin's Footsteps" by Julian Verdreth, 715 TR: [1]
Those traveling south along the Genin Trail rarely use the water route. It is certainly possible to float downriver on the Kald from Tashal to Two Rivers and up the Nephen a couple of leagues to Ternua. This would make better time than the overland route, but both horses and oxen tend to be uncomfortable and accidents have happened. Besides, the fairly short trip – some have made it in a single long day – offers a chance to make sure caravan staff members are in the most appropriate assignments.
As a result, the preferred route has become Tashal down the Ternua Road to Nustane, a distance of about a half-league.
